Ida is a retired detection canine from U.S. Customs. Ida worked in the Calexico, California port-of-entry from 2008-2009. During her short career, Ida was responsible for numerous drug seizures. She retired early due to problems with the pads of her feet.Read More
Kuba is a retired detection canine from the United States Border Patrol. Kuba worked in the Tucson Sector from June of 2009 until November of 2012. In November of 2016, Kuba became lame on his rear-right leg and would not place any weight on it. He needed to see a vet to diagnose the issue. Kuba had an inflamed hock and needed pain medication and rest for 21 days. We are happy to help with his care and to say he is getting better.Read More
Rex-II is a retired detection canine from the United States Border Patrol. He served in the Detroit Sector from September of 2007 through October of 2015. In November of 2016, Rex suffered from bloat and needed emergency treatment. Bloat can be extremely fatal if not treated quickly. We are happy to announce that Rex survived and is recovering at home. Retired United States Border Patrol Canine Elvis-B proudly represented and worked in both Tucson and Big Bend Sectors. He served his country from March of 2008 through August of 2012. In 2012, Elvis was diagnosed with Vestibular Syndrome after suffering a neurological stroke. This and his on-going hip and eye problems resulted in his early retirement.Read More
Judy is a retired detection canine from United States Customs. She worked in Southern Arizona from September 2005 through September 2014 and retired due to her age. In October of 2016, Judy’s nose began to crack and dry out and she needed to see a vet. We are happy to say that the ointment is working and Judy is feeling much better. She is still enjoying her retirement at the age of 14!!Read More
Veno is a retired detection canine from the United States Border Patrol. He worked in southern Texas from 2010 until 2015. He was a valuable asset to his station and country. Unfortunately, in September of 2016, Veno suffered from torsion and was rushed into surgery; despite all efforts, Veno succumbed to his injuries. RIP Veno.Read More
Dargo is a retired dual purpose (Patrol/Narcotics) canine from the Pima County Sheriff’s Office (AZ). Dargo was in service from August of 2010 until September of 2014. During his career, Dargo was responsible for seizing over 40,000 pounds of marijuana and apprehending over 300 people while working with the United States Border Patrol.Read More
Max is a retired dual purpose canine from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (AZ). Max served his community for 6 years before retiring in April of 2016. He is enjoying his time at home with his family. Max requires daily medication to control his thyroid and liver levels. These medications can be quite costly. Sadly, Heidi was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and her handler made the very hard decision to not let her suffer any longer.
