MAX

Max is a retired canine from the United States Border Patrol. He entered on duty with the Border Patrol in 2007 and worked in Detroit Michigan his entire career. Max was trained and certified to detect concealed humans and narcotics. In 2011 he was diagnosed with a medical condition Degenerative Lumbosacral Stenosis and underwent surgery. After numerous months of rehabilitation he was unable to continue his service and was retired. In November of 2013 Max experienced an episode of torsion requiring emergency surgery.
